Two exciting trips to the ER this weekend but everything is ok. Sort of. We are getting home healthcare now with a turbutaline pump (think Needle In Leg) to admin turb to the necessary areas to curb the contractions, which is not absurd. (the last part may not make any sense but it rhymed with curb...)
Anyway, Kim is on Bed Rest and Ryan had his first half-day of day care. We were trying to make it to September before day care but its intense enough already without the added stress.
Ryan seemed to really take to Daycare, we started him with only mornings for a few days and then he will go full time. Today he was not so thrilled to leave day care. He said he liked the play ground. The little trooper is also learning to potty and only missed once. He gets a bit upset when that happens but a couple hugs and new shorts later and he is ok.

On the 25th, my site here has met a new milestone. According to the reply in my last entry on here on the 23rd, if you google for broccoli and snuffaluffagus you will get just one hit and that is this page. (a googlewhack)

I finally got to ride my bike to work. Second time in the past few weeks. Having to move boxes after work everyday for the past 2 weeks has precluded the manual mode of transportation I prefer, but not today! Felt good to feel the muscles burn riding over hill country. Shows how long it has been since I have had continuous exercise. Austin TX is a good bit larger than Madison WI. I could ride across Madison in a few hours in relative quiet, but Austin on the other hand would probably take a full 10 hours and that would probably be on some main roadways. Both have rolling hills and lots of trees as well as defined bike paths, its just a matter of figuring out where they are.

Walked into a Quizno's, and while standing at the counter noticed there was a brownie that was growing stuff. That was pretty disgusting so I handed it to the clerk behind the counter. He did not notice the fuzz and thought I wanted to purchase it, so after quickly denying an intent to purchase, pointed out that there were color splotches that did not match the color of the brownie. (think Sesame Street: "which one of these things is not like the other") After he recognized what was wrong, he offered: "yea, we hardly have time to check that stuff". How much turnover do you think they get if the product on the shelf is growing stuff?

If you are in Round Rock, think twice before stopping at the Quizno's at 620 and I35.

ordinarily I would link this in the "linkdump" to the left, but this is worthy of the front page. http://www.preparingforemergencies.co.uk/

+ 0 - 0 | § AMd Not

I am not a fan of AMD, although I do like that they cause pain to Intel and force better products naturally. Only problem is that I do not find AMD to be a worthy competitor. Among the more amusing is that several AMD cpu cores allow unauthenticated updates to the CPU microcode (chip BIOS) which theoretically means you could root the cpu with your own backdoor. That would (most likely) require physical access to the box but still....

+ 0 - 0 | § Moving Day!

August seems to be upside down because the high temperatures are in the low 90s, however that will be much more comfortable for moving this weekend. If any of you are in the area we will be moving into our new place at currently scheduled for 16:00 on Sunday. Watch this thread for updates.

Gas: 1.65 US Gal. (87 octane)
Todays High: 90 Farenheit
I finally got a Round Tuit so to speak. Creating the photo albums that is for some of the things that we have been doing lately. Hop on to www.nathancblack.com/photos to see the latest digital photos of Galveston, Round Rock, the Oasis and Kims recent graduation.

+ 0 - 0 | § Taps

We watched "This is Spinal Tap" last night. Parody? I am not sure what it is classified as but it is bazaar. I have been told several times that I should see it, so now I can say I have seen it. It did have some funny parts but some of the other parts were a bit slow.

Saw Monster the other day too. That movie is just wrong. Then after the end, it says "Based on a True Story". YIKES!

+ 0 - 0 | § Rolling along, singing a song...

[start Pink] I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings and Things to make it look good. I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it. [end Floyd]

Went bopping around the sporting good stores and Ryan started going bonkers when he saw the bicycles. He decided to get on. (after we found him a helmet) He was rolling around enjoyably so we decided to pick him up one. I can tell he will be as avid a rider as I was growing up. He almost has the shift in leg/hip to make the pedals go down more than once but still plenty of time to work on it.
