I love flying, and would love to fly on my own. Short of that, my cousin and I learned to fly remote control airplanes many years ago. My goal was to be able to take aerial photos, but that turned out to be a bit out of my price range at the time as my flight budget ran out really fast. However, I read about this fellow who attached his digital camera to a kite. The story would qualify as a tragedy. If you want to read about it too click this.

Nothing like driving across half of the U.S.. I do not recall ever visiting Tennessee before but I can sure say that is one beautiful state to look at. Green trees, hills, Elvis. :)
Before this our longest trip was 6 hours, which was to OKC. We left Wednesday night and stayed at Best Western in Greenville Texas, which is just northeast of Garland. Quick fairly smooth trip. Some rain kept Kim on the edge of her seat for a few miles but it was only a light pitter patter not a typical texas size storm. (well, part was Texas sized but not the part we were in).
Thursday morning we hit the road again with Nashville as the destination. Got into town about 21:00 (9pm) and hooked up with my sister and brother in law. Natalie had done some leg work to find
Fiddler's Inn
which had a reasonable price and was right accross from where they were staying at the OpryLand Hotel.
